Project Manager - Construction -  Middle East

As Site Construction Engineer your main responsibilities will include
Ensure that all construction aspects have been incorporated into schedule to ensure that overall project cost, schedule, safety and quality objectives are achieved.
Coordinate with the offshore team at interface points
Ensure compliance with the Company Project Management System
Work in compliance with the agreed management of change and risk management processes.
Act as focal point for any construction-related management of change, specification changes, deviations, etc. to quantify and manage associated quality, cost and/ or schedule impacts.
Review contractor method statements and risk assessments to ensure an incident free build.
Actively participate in weekly meetings
Review contractor progress reports and provide input and verification.
Deputise for fabrication Site Manager in his absence
Work with site based material control personnel to ensure material and equipment arrive in a timely manner
Liaise with site quality dept on any quality issues inspections and corrective action.
Monitor progress and schedule to advise when vendors are required to support the build and management of vendors while on site
Provides input into site weekly / monthly report
Liaise with home office based HLV coordinator on load out and sea fastening issues
Monitoring preservation on all free issued equipment to ensure it’s completed as per suppliers requirements
Work with Site Engineering Lead to resolve site based queries


Experience/Qualifications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated strong construction competence
Computer Literate.
Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills
Familiarisation with compression modules
Understanding of schedules, planning and controls.
Preferably Degree qualified in suitable discipline Chartered engineer or equivalent working knowledge of relevant codes and standards
Ability to work unsupervised, take a lead role and supervise others as necessary.
Commercial, contractual and change management awareness.
Offshore experience with current survival and familiarisation with offshore codes and standards
